The Art of Technology is a national competition to establish, through painting and drawing, how children in the UK feel about technology.

Expression of true feelings or beliefs through art is a tried and tested concept, and the competition’s organiser, Stone Group, is keen to provide its education customers with the deepest possible understanding of how school pupils see the technology that they are using every day.

Therefore, the Art of Technology competition is open for entry to all schools, after school clubs and groups, including SEN specialists, which look after children aged 18 or under.

All the submitted works will be analysed by one of the UK’s most renowned educational psychologists, Dr Kairen Cullen. Dr Cullen will be examining each drawing, looking for common themes and interpreting how the artwork signifies what technology means to children. Her report will then be available for publication, and Stone Group hopes it will help schools understand technology’s influence in the classroom, and help them make important choices about where to invest next.
